Analyzing the 17 areas in the FY26 DoD budget money is being redirected to
The Department of Defense announced a review of the department’s 2026 fiscal plans, planning to identify a list of potential areas to offset by 8%. 17 categories were identified as ones that money would be refocused to. We ran an analysis of each of these areas.
